Bank of the Federated States of Micronesia (BFSM) was founded in 1985 and was incorporated under the laws of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM). We are the only commercial bank chartered in Micronesia. We are FDIC insured through the Compact of Free Association Agreement between FSM and the United States.
BFSM is a full-service bank with branches in each of the four FSM States: Kosrae, Pohnpei, Chuuk, and Yap. We provide general commercial and consumer banking products & services to the FSM Community. In addition, we operate a Loan Production office in Saipan, CNMI.
The Bank of the Federated States of Micronesia is a locally owned corporation with over 4,500 shareholders. The major Shareholders include the FSM National Government, FSM Development Bank, Yap State Government, Kosrae State Government and the Pohnpei State Government.
